Our annual girls’ getaway weekend was at Lake Conroe this time. Loads of fun and laughs, as always.

I have been unexcusably absent. May 2009 bring my cameras and me on many picturesque adventures!
It was my first visit there in all the years I’ve lived in the Dallas area. I fell in love with the Town Hall. So, despite the fact that it was in the middle of the harsh afternoon light, I couldn’t resist taking some photos. I’ll have to visit again in better light (and cooler temperatures!).

It’s the most serene experience you’ve ever had. And then you turn to find this:
Amongst the sombreros, tequila, dresses, and jewelry, you can also find a variety of phallic wood carvings in your choice of sizes.

The first day of my vacation in Cozumel was spent lounging by the pool and at the swim-up bar. And it was everything I wanted it to be.

This and many other beautiful sculptures may be found at the Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas, TX.
